The human Brain: The Seat or merely the Processor of conscious intelligence?
Instrumentalists believe that what a human being sees and experiences is based wholly on her or his pre-existing beliefs (or biases) about what does or does not exist to be seen and experienced in the first place....
Sperry’s lifetime of neuroscientific work led him to disavow the brain as being merely the processor of an objectively neutral arena of conscious reality outside of one’s head, which was the prevailing belief on the subject since the beginning of the Scientific Revolution. Or, as he put it, “Instead of renouncing or ignoring consciousness, we should give full recognition to the primacy of inner conscious awareness as a casual reality.”
Based on his exhaustive body of research, Sperry believed neuroscience should fundamentally reassess how the brain formulates and propagates consciousness. What is more, Sperry also believed his discipline should begin to recognize subjectivity’s fundamental importance in all facets of scientific inquiry.
The scientific Argument against The Brain as the Seat of Conscious Intelligence
If that were indeed true, it would mean the objects our eyes see exist outside of ourselves and our eyes simply exist to send the signals of what is outside of us to our brains to process. However, we are now beginning to understand that what we think we see is based more on what our mind expects our eyes to see than what is actually outside of our own heads to be seen.
This means that in a consciousness sense, the words you are reading right now are only viewable because your brain is telling your eyes they are there in the order your mind assumes they should be.
If your mind assumed something different, like in the case of people who suffer from dyslexia, then your eyes would follow suit and the letters/words on this page would reflect that reality.
This also puts a wrinkle in our perceptions of time, which according to Physicist Brian Greene of Columbia University, is not what our subjectively biased perceptions frame it to be. Specifically, Greene posits that time doesn't operate within the widely assumed spatial distinctions of past, present and future states, called teleology. By the time our brains process the results of the fictional constructs of reality hormones and neurotransmitters combine to create, the actual event, interaction or experience we partake in is milliseconds old already. This is because it takes time for each of these processes to occur, and by the time they all do, what seems to human perception like the present, is actually the past. Because of this inherent time lapse, it is logically impossible to process or perceive anything in ‘live time’.
Based on these findings, it doesn't make scientific or pragmatic sense a neutral, realist arena of objective reality exists outside of anyone's head to be taken in by sensory organs and processed by our brains in the first place....
The Consciousness Of Mice and Men
This is telling, considering 50% of its brain mass, including the portion believed to be tasked with memory storage and retrieval, was no longer in its head. If its brain was a processor of an external arena of conscious reality outside its head, then the mouse would have lacked the cognitive capacity to retain all of its memory intelligence functioning, in order to run that maze as well post-operationally as it did beforehand. But it isn’t, and therefore the mouse didn't skip a beat post-operationally.
Over my Bed Body
Furthermore, she claimed to be able to activate this state of consciousness at will. The team of researchers asked her to enter her out-of-body state while imaging her brain’s activity, and performed an fMRI scan on her brain before, during and after her OBE’s. They then compared her waking brain activity to what she experienced during her OBE.
The test subject’s brain did not know the difference between what is deemed conscious reality by the research team, and rightfully so. What this means is the Ottawa test subject’s OBE while under the research team’s observation was just as tangibly real as the observation team’s reality in observing the woman during her OBE. In this regard, we cannot even say for sure who was observing whom in a neuro-transmissional, let alone consciousness-based reality sense.
Far out or far in?
ESP phenomenon was of interest to the CIA because of reports coming out of the Soviet Union regarding the KGB’s employment of individuals with extra sensory abilities for the purpose of intelligence gathering. The Soviets recruited people with the proven ability to place themselves in deep meditative states to gather information about events, locations and people considered of interest to Soviet Intelligence. This was called remote viewing, because the information gathering was taking place without having to place a spy directly in harm’s way to obtain valuable intelligence data.
Several test subjects were recruited to participate in the CIA’s project, including a man named Ingo Swann. Swann had earned a stellar reputation within the local spiritual community for his ESP proficiency. Swann, along with the other remote viewers the CIA recruited, were very proficient in a specific kind of thought intention meditation that allowed them to maintain conscious control of their spirit selves to the point it was able to partially discorporate from the dermal-wave substance layers of their bio-body suits, and then venture wherever it was directed to within the implicate order and across 4-dimensional space-time. This took place while the remote viewer was consciously aware and intaking directives, as well as relating applicable data to the research team.
For the first several months of the SRI project, Swann and his colleagues were overwhelmingly successful at sensing and identifying small objects encased in boxes that were separated by walls and room spaces. Much like Tiller’s human variables decades later, Swann and his fellow remote viewers entered a deep meditative state to connect to these boxes, and then were able to peer inside of them via their 11th dimensional spirit self connections to the implicate order. After repeated successes, Swann became dissatisfied with what he considered mundane research targets. He suggested more challenging experimental conditions to perform under. Upon receiving the go ahead from the project facilitators, Ingo chose the recent launch of the Pioneer 10 spacecraft to conduct an analysis of its target destination, the planet Jupiter.
Fly Me to The Moon...
The data was then circulated to several key scientists in the Silicon Valley area for verification purposes; including two at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where the Pioneer 10 craft was being operated. The raw data factors follow, including the verification dates:
If it was, Ingo's brain would have had to make up his entire remote viewing experience, and somehow it would then have had to correspond with the facts presented in an "objective arena of external reality" at a 100% accuracy rate. This "coincidence" factor is just plain logically and scientifically impossible to explain in any other fanciful context.
Neuroscience Confirms the remote viewing reality
In other words, the team concluded that Ingo was indeed seeing what he claimed to see during remote viewing, the exact same as you are seeing these words on your screen right now. Of course, this is also the same conclusion the Ottawa University research team came to regarding the OBE test subject we discussed earlier...because both she and Ingo are not hallucinating anymore than you are right now by reading this, at least where consciousness is concerned. Dr. Persinger's findings also further invalidate the assumption that the brain itself is merely the processor of an objectively neutral, extrinsic arena of conscious reality that exists outside of anyone's head in any way, shape and form.
Spirit self Animates the brain so the mind can guide the way
A Swiss team of neuroscientists representing the Blue Brain Project supports the reality that the brain is nothing more than a processing tool of something other than an external, neutral arena of reality. Using a version of algebraic topography that accurately maps the properties of objects and spaces regardless of how they change shape, the Swiss team found that groups of neurons form various “cliques,” or synonymous groups. The number of neurons in any one clique led to its size as a high-dimensional geometric object. The highest level the team was able to formulate was none other than the 11th dimension. Neuroscientist and lead researcher Henry Markham of the EPFL Institute was so surprised by the findings he enthusiastically commented:
“We found a world we had never imagined. There are tens of millions of these objects even in a small speck of the brain, up through seven dimensions. In some networks, we even found structures up to 11 dimensions.”
Based on the limitations of its methodology, the Swiss research team made it a point to clarify its findings as verifiable in a mathematical context, and not a space-time/gravitational one. However, by applying the mathematical results to Tiller’s (functional) Psychoenergetic research that physically demonstrates the incorporation of the 11th dimensional spirit self into the mental bio-body suit layers (thereby creating the process where brain becomes mind), we can reconcile the theoretical and experimental reality of consciousness as a true 11th dimensional experience all around.
As the ancient Egyptian Priests understood thousands of years ago through their end of life rituals including mummification, once the 11th dimensional spirit self fully discorporates from the mental bio-body suit layer, the mind no longer exists. Rather, at this point, all that remains is the mushy lump of tissue that in and of itself has no real value, other than as an ornament on a shelf in the Mutter Museum in Pennsylvania (in Einstein’s case at least).
This means the brain is simply a lumpy mush of tissue sitting inside the skull of a physically deceased person. Conversely, the mind happens when the brain is animated by the 11th dimensional spirit self via electro-chemical transmission, thus becoming an intelligent, living and conscious creation. Because there is no intelligent functioning taking place inside of a dead person’s brain, the spirit self is what makes the mind "happen" and thus, what creates tangible value in the forms of consciousness, intelligence.... and is as close as it comes to any arena of "reality" existing outside of any human being's head.
